Shopping links

The current sourcebook includes a selected little-library kit and retailer category pages. Selection is distinct from purchase, use, and a tested recommendation. Category links are research starting points, not endorsements of every item sold there. No affiliate tracking is currently active.

When affiliate links are introduced, they will be identified near the recommendation. Paid partnerships and gifted products will be disclosed separately. Compensation will not turn an untested item into a personal-use recommendation.

Project status

The opening house chapters are editorial project briefs. They do not claim completed work, verified costs, or a finished result. Actual project records should identify what happened, who helped, and what it took.

Images

The images currently displayed are labeled AI-generated material and architectural concept studies. They are not photographs of Melissa’s house, completed projects, or the exact products offered by a retailer. Actual project photography will be distinguished from concept imagery.

Safety and suitability

This is a personal project journal, not professional construction instruction. Requirements differ by project and location. Obtain appropriately qualified advice for structural, electrical, hazardous-material, roof, retaining-wall, and other safety-sensitive work before beginning.

Privacy

This version does not collect email addresses, create visitor accounts, or use an advertising or analytics script. The project planner keeps entries only in the current page’s memory and does not send them to a server.

Website requests still pass through the hosting provider, and an external retailer applies its own policies when you follow its links. This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We have not enabled visitor analytics, advertising pixels, or email subscriptions. We will update this notice before adding those services. Last updated September 25, 2026.
